Notes on border crossing

The majority of the Czech Republic has been identified by the federal government as an area with an increased risk of infection with SARS-CoV-2. The Forststeig Elbe Sandstone is located on the Czech side in the Aussiger Region (Ústecký). This is currently not considered as a SARS-CoV-2 risk area. For hikers who also complete the Czech section, there are thereby currently no restrictions (quarantine regulations). Please inform yourselves up-to-date on the RKI website https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/InfAZ/N/Neuartiges_Coronavirus/Risikogebiete_neu.html. If the Aussiger region is also declared a risk area, we will put signs on a detour for the Forststeig trail so that hikers can stay on the German side.
